Civic Integration - All schools in the Netherlands

In order to integrate in the Netherlands, you must learn Dutch. Are you subject to civic integration and are you looking for a school to integrate in your neighborhood? You learn the Dutch language on the civic integration course and learn about working and living in the Netherlands.

In the Netherlands you can integrate in 2 ways. This can be done through the civic integration exam or the Staatsexamen Dutch as a second language (NT2). Most people who are subject to civic integration in the Netherlands do the civic integration examination.

If you have learned enough on the civic integration course you can take an exam. The civic integration examination consists of the components writing, speaking, listening, reading, knowledge of Dutch society and orientation Dutch labor market. In the Netherlands you can take the civic integration exam in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rijswijk, Rotterdam and Zwolle.

If you are going to integrate, choose a school that provides recognized integration courses. Always ask whether the school possesses the 'Certification Quality Mark' from the Dutch government. You can also check on the website of the Education Executive Agency (DUO) whether the school is a recognized institute. If the school has the 'Integration quality mark' then you can apply for a loan from DUO for the integration course. The school will also assist you with the application for the loan.

Some integration schools have fixed start dates and others can start the civic integration course when it suits you best.
